Such type of person face problem in matching sounds to symbols and in breaking down the sounds of the word. Such individual face difficulties in distinguishing phenome e.g., cat and cut, pat and bat, God, and log. Individual also face problem in distinguishing alphabets like p and q, b and d. it’s surely believed that this type of dyslexia is the most common type of dyslexia.

The best documented way to teach a phonologic dyslexia individual are based upon of the Orton-Gillingham approach to reading that was developed in the 1930's by Samuel Torrey Orton and Anna Gillingham.

Naming Dyslexia

Person who struggles to name rapidly the color, number and letter may suffering from naming dyslexia or also called Rapid automatized naming (RAN) dyslexia. Such person can also face problem with reading and speaking speed. Person know the correct name of color, number and symbols (letter or alphabet) but it often take time to say the correct one.

It can be believed that rapid naming dyslexia can be linked to specific gene that is inherited that control how the brain processes the reading and language.

Some other factors that can cause naming dyslexia are:

Use or exposure to alcohol, drug, and nicotine during pregnancy

 Premature birth

Paternal infection that affects brain development

Person having disability can be treated with the help of expert to process language. Special curriculum is designed to treat the person.

Double Deficit Dyslexia

Double deficit dyslexia are also known as double dyslexia. A person facing problem with tow aspects in processing language. Or in simple terms, in double deficit dyslexia a person struggling with both phonological dyslexia and rapid naming dyslexia.

Such type of person face problem in matching sounds to symbols, breaking down the sounds of the word, and struggle with rapidly naming the color, number, and letter. Such type of dyslexia is uncommon.

 Surface Dyslexia

Person who can easily pronounce bre words but fail to pronounce or read irregular words (words who's spelling, and pronunciation don't match) for e.g. yacht, colonel, chaos debet etc.

This type affects words, words don't sound the way the spelled that's why they need to be memorized because making it further tough to sound.

The signs of surface dyslexia include trouble in reading new words ny sight, difficulty with spelling, severe difficulty with word recognition, slow to read and avoid reading activities.

Person troubling with both phonological dyslexia and surface dyslexia is uncommon.

Visual Dyslexia

Child facing difficulty to remember pictures or words that they saw on page they may have visual dyslexia. People experience visual disturbances when they read. Dyslexia affects the visual processing makes the brain get incomplete picture of what the eyes see.

Visual dyslexia can be treated with vision therapy. It starts with complete eye examination to check the sharpness and clarity of vision. Vision therapy includes wearing eye patch, looking through prism, looking letter finding puzzle and wear tinted glasses.

Primary Dyslexia

If dyslexia are genetically inherited form parents to offspring, Such condition is known as primary dyslexia. Parents suffering dyslexia increase the risk of development dyslexia in their offspring/children.

In primary dyslexia left side of brain cerebral cortex is damaged. More often found in boys than girls. It doesn’t change with age.

Secondary Dyslexia

As we know dyslexia is neurological problem, if brain development issues occur in womb that causes dyslexia, then such type of dyslexia is Known as secondary dyslexia. As development disability cause dyslexia at birth therefore both primary and secondary dyslexia are said to be developmental.

Acquired Dyslexia

If any brain injury or trauma affects the part of brain that is responsible for language then, sometimes it also causes dyslexia, this type of dyslexia is also terms as trauma dyslexia or acquired dyslexia. It's the only type of dyslexia with a known cause.

Language disturbance is general due to any distribution in brain, if distribution occur in right- it leads to visual processing problems whereas problem in left-brain results in a linguistic deficit.
