Ajaz Patel has become only the third bowler in 144 years history of test cricket to take 10 wickets in an innings. The first two were Jim Laker and Anil Kumble. On the second day of the second Test against India at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, New Zealand left-arm spinner Ajaz Patel made history by becoming only the third bowler in Test history to take all ten wickets in an innings.
He was born in October 21, 1988 in India. He made his first cricket debut for New Zealand in October 2018 and in November 2018 he made his first debut for the test cricket. In May 2020 New Zealand cricket board decided to give him the central contract. He was also awarded as men's domestic player of the year for the year 2018.
In July 2018 Patel was part of the Test cricket team against Pakistan. On November 16, 2018 he made his test debut against Pakistan. He took five wickets in the same match in second innings and was man of match for his excellent performance. From there he has never looked back and is now a regular part of the test cricket team.
