AN IDEA THAT CHANGED MY LIFE
It was a hot sunny day of
June, when heat was on its peak, the sun was emitting rays like dragon fire on
the earth. At 11 o’clock I went to bank (ATM) for a transaction for EID
shopping, I called one of my friends to come with me. We went to the bank did
my transaction, meanwhile he came up with an idea and said “hey, let’s go to
swimming” and I was like no it’s too hot and I m not in a good mood, but he
insisted me to go with him. We went home got ready and fueled our bike called
couple of friends more and the journey started to “Anguri” a place near Bara
Koh.
We were having fun though
sun was fully angry on earth. After half hour or more of travel we reached
there but the place was heavily crowded, we waited for half hour and the fun
begins. We kept swimming for 2-3 hour’s and decided to go back to our homes.
Now the weather was cool, and we were singing and enjoying it. We always never
know what almighty has hidden for us on next step; someone better said,
“Everything happens for a good reason”. We entered highway and we on normal
speed according to the road lane suddenly, a sound came, and I configured the
sound but the driver took few moments to understand. That was sound of front
tire burst, he was struggling with the wheel, but back in my mind I was
mentally preparing myself for an accident.
Sometimes in our lives we
must make quick decisions and the situations. He lost control on wheel, and we fell,
I was feeling the warmth of the road and the dragging of the bike with it. In
this subconscious situation I was hearing the fully applied brakes of the
vehicles, after a minute everything was like “pin drop silence” for me then I
saw people coming towards us, they took Rahat aside. Still in such conditions
you never worry about yourself but for the others with you, I looked at him he
seemed fine to me, and I said “shukar ha”. People tried to make me stand but
couldn’t I have realized that my right leg isn’t cooperating with me I looked
down and…. It was covered with blood, and I was bleeding badly now the pain was
at its peak.
I was shivering in agony,
a person put us in the car took us to the hospital. The drive of incident site
to the hospital I’ll never forget the, wanted to scream loud and loud but from
the childhood our society taught us that “boys are brave”. We had our treatment,
and they took us back home. Now it’s been a week I am on bed rest but lost all
my plans for EID and now I even can’t prepare for papers. Bad memories always
disturb you and you cannot focus on anything now, whenever I close my eyes, I
only hear the sound of the brakes coming from dark. The idea of swimming just
changed the whole dimensions of my life.
