  Subject: Highlighting the lousy condition of the roads.

 Dear Sir,

 Through your esteemed newspaper columns, I would like to draw the attention of the concerned authorities towards the bad condition of roads in our locality. The shape of roads is deplorable, with countless potholes making the purpose of the road a failure. Moreover, things worsen during the rainy season when potholes are not visible due to the flawed drainage system, and the area becomes heavily accident-prone. Last week two of the bikers lost their lives in an accident which happened due to these potholes. The residents are facing a lot of inconvenience due to the road condition.

 On behalf of the residents of University Road, I humbly request you to pass on this information to the concerned authorities and use your esteemed organization's influence in getting the work done.

 I hope that you consider the request of the residents of this area and take proper action.
